Witness account: While driving back home after picking up my wife from Lidcombe station at 6:00 pm. We were on Walters Rd, about three streets away from home. That evening the sun was the biggest and brightest I had ever seen, it was setting and was low on the horizon.

As we drove up Walters Rd, I noticed three scattered clouds in the sky. It was then that I noticed an object dart out of a could, it left a short vapour trail as it shot away.

We could both see the object with the naked eye. I pulled the car over and took out my camera & binoculars, I took one photo, then looked through the binoculars for a few seconds then took another photo.

I looked through the binoculars again and could see the sun reflecting of one side, then the object just disappeared. Unfortunately the photos only picked up a small dot.
