Saturday 17/07/93, Campsie, NSW 11:20 pm - Six witnesses
Witness report: On the night of 17th July, 1993, between 11:20 & 11:30 pm. Etsuko, my Japanese friend, who was staying with me at the time, was cleaning her teeth in the bathroom. She looked out the open window and saw an extremely bright light in the sky, as big as the moon would be, it was about 45 degrees of the ground and heading from North-West to North then changing direction heading South then changed again heading North-West.
The sky was clear with some scattered clouds. The object was shaped like a crescent moon but not side-ways as a crescent moon. It resembled a jellyfish floating in the water. The light omitting from the object was a dazzling bright orange colour.
There was no noise coming from it. The object moved across the sky quite quickly from left to right but was going further away into the distance as it travelled.
The object and the light source were becoming smaller as it moved away. The object moved away at an even pace, a little slower than a falling star. Etsuko couldn't believe what she was seeing, so she blinked and rubbed her eyes a few times to see if it was still there, she called out to me very excitedly to come and see. She first saw the object at 11:20 pm.
We watched the object together for at least five minutes or more. As we watched, it stopped, dead, for a few seconds, then moved to the right a little more and down towards the ground. The object then dropped straight down, behind the roof tops. We got up and stood on the bath, we could see that it had just stopped , completely still for fifteen to twenty seconds.
The object then began to move upwards and towards the left quite slowly, it increased it's height as it went further and further to the left and higher and higher in the sky. The light source from the object decreased as it went further away, but remained orange in colour.
