Sunday 09/04/95, Kogarah, NSW 5:15 pm - Two witnesses

Witness account: On Sunday the 9th April 1995, while travelling as a passenger in a friends van, I noticed an object the size of a marble with what looked like a string hanging down off it. The object was about 70 degrees over head, heading from west to east. The sky was clear with no cloud cover.

My friend parked his van and we got out to look at it. For a split second, I thought that it was a plane pulling a banner. Within the next two seconds it looked more like a milky white object with six to seven black dots in a straight line, equally spaced and hanging down from the object.

I turned my head to look at my friends and I noticed that he too was looking at the same object. When I looked at it again the dots had disappeared. By now the shape of the object was circular with no sharp edges.

As the object passed over head, I noticed that it was the same colour and brightness as the moon. By now, I could see that the object looked like a dish, or at least the reflecting sun light gave that impression.

When the object was in front of us, I noticed a passenger plane climbing into the air and that this plane was travelling in a straight path with the object flying above it. I said to my friend, "the pilots must be seeing that too". The object was flying in a straight line and at a constant speed.

During the last few seconds of the sighting as it was flying away from us the object dimmed in brightness but still the same milky white colour. The whole sighting lasted about 20 seconds.
